With another school year behind us, summer is a great time to reflect on the achievements of our alumni. We’ve heard from a number of alums over the past year. We hope you enjoy reading about their adventure and accomplishments below!

1990s
Yoni Messing ’99 graduated from the University of Arizona in 2017, and is now working as a software developer at McKinsey & Co. He recently came across some old notes and photos from his time at Parkside, and said “The amount of attention I got for my education, honestly made all the difference. It was really incredible reading through all of it.”
2000s
Aidan Gibbons ’05 is currently attending Harvard University. After Parkside, he attended Town School, where he was chosen to speak at graduation. He went on to Bronx Science before being accepted at Harvard.
Sam Weintraub ’06 graduated last year from Cornell University with a bachelors degree from the College of Engineering. He is now living in Arlington, VA and working at Capital One as a product manager.
Summer Gula Hayes ’07 received a NY Regents diploma from Cold Spring Harbor High School. She plans to major in Art in college, and hopes to become an Art Therapist someday.
2010s
Tia Schioppo ’10 graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA and as a member of the National Honor Society. During high school she ran track, played the guitar and sang solo at many school shows, and completed an AP College Art and Design course. She has just completed her freshman year at the Fashion Institute of New York.
Theo Strongin ’10 made the Dean’s List for the Fall 2017 semester at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL with a GPA of 4.0!
Marshall Richardson ’11 was named the York Prep Athlete of the Year for 2018. He ranked second in his graduating class, and was to deliver the salutatory at graduation, except that he wasn’t able to attend because of a State qualifying track meet at the same time. He will be attending Amherst college in the fall.
Katie Halloran ’13 writes that she can’t believe it’s been 5 years since she graduated Parkside, saying “Time sure does fly. So many interesting things happened to me since I graduated. My aunt got a new puppy whose name is Ridley – he is one energetic puppy.”
Maude Lehmann ’15 was accepted into the High School of Art & Design. She took a portfolio class to prepare for the audition and worked really hard. This was her first choice for high schools!
Marlena Liu ’15 is currently attending Cooke School.
